Mary Futrell of Holly Ridge is the first player to win $200,000 playing the new $200,000 Triple Play scratch-off game.
Futrell claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $138,501.
Futrell bought the $5 ticket at the United Discount Tobacco Mart on U.S. 17 South in Holly Ridge.
$200,000 Triple Play launched earlier this month with five top prizes of $200,000. Four top prizes remain.
Ticket sales from games like $200,000 Triple Play made it possible for the lottery to raise more than $634 million for the state last year.
