Burton Ramberger from Charlotte is the latest player to win the top $250,000 All or Nothing prize.
He beat the odds of 1 in 2.7 million to win the top prize in the Sunday afternoon drawing.
Ramberger claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $173,131.
Ramberger bought the $2 ticket at the Kangaroo Express on Rea Road in Charlotte. To win the top prize a player must match all 12 numbers or none of them. Ramberger didn’t match any number.
Ticket sales from games like All or Nothing made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
