Allyson Ingram and Dyrick Morgan, both of Madison, are the latest players to win $1 million playing the $1,000,000 Bonus Cash scratch-off game.
They bought the $10 ticket at the Daytona Citgo on North Highway Street in Madison.
When the two claimed the prize on Friday, they had the choice of taking a $1 million annuity that has 20 payments of $50,000 a year or a lump sum of $600,000. They chose the lump sum and split it. After federal and state tax withholdings, each received $207,749.
$1,000,000 Bonus Cash launched in July with four top prizes of $1 million. One top prize remains.
Ticket sales from games like $1,000,000 Bonus Cash made it possible for the lottery to raise more than $634 million for the state last year. For details on how lottery funds have made a difference in Rockingham County, click on the “For Education” section of the lottery’s website.
