Robert D’Atri of Raleigh had luck on his side when he won a $247,055 Cash 5 jackpot.
He beat odds of one in 749,398 to win the Sept. 23 drawing.
D’Atri used his own numbers, and bought a $1 ticket at the Harris Teeter on Strickland Road in Raleigh.
He claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, D’Atri took home $171,706.
