Friday’s Carolina Cash 5 drawing produced a $1 million win for someone who bought a ticket at a Triad convenience store.
The lucky winner bought the $1 million ticket at Rushco Food Stores on Salisbury Road in Mocksville. The ticket matched all five numbers, 2-12-30-39-40, beating odds of 1 in 962,598.
The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize.
The $1 million jackpot was the largest since a new version of the Carolina Cash 5 game started in November with jackpots starting at $100,000, up from $50,000. The largest jackpot so far in the game was $1.7 million that was won in June 2017.
