Luis Arellano of Siler City had luck on his side when he played the 20X The Cash scratch-off game and won $250,000.
He bought the $5 ticket at the Rite Stop on East 11th Street in Siler City.
He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $176,254.
