Ramon Halasan of Fletcher is celebrating his good fortune after he won a $198,697 Cash 5 jackpot.
Halasan is a clerk at Southeast Energy on Airport Road in Arden. He bought the $1 ticket at the store where he works. It beat odds of one in 749,398 to win the April 6 drawing.
He claimed the jackpot Tuesday. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $140,084.
