For the second time in two months, a Carolina Cash five ticket has won over $1 million.
The ticket, sold in Columbus County, is now worth $1,482,698 after it matched all five numbers in Wednesday’s Cash 5 drawing.
The Time Saver Food Mart on Washington Street in Whiteville sold the winning ticket. It beat odds of 1 in 962,598 to win the jackpot. The winning numbers are 3-9-22-28-30.
If people play Cash 5 in Columbus County, they should check their tickets. The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize.
This is the second largest Cash 5 jackpot on record in North Carolina. The largest jackpot so far in the game was $1.7 million that was won in June 2017.
