Brianna Ramseur of Charlotte said she can finally live her dream of going to school and opening her own nail bar business after she won a $100,000 lottery prize.

“I’m a single mother so this is going to be a great step forward,” Ramseur said.

On Tuesday evening, the event planner made a quick grocery run to the Walmart on Wilkinson Blvd in Charlotte and purchased a $300,000,000 Supreme Riches scratch-off ticket.

When she realized she matched the winning numbers, she had to read the ticket a couple times.

“I just couldn’t believe it,” Ramseur said.

She claimed her prize Wednesday afternoon at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $70,759.

“You always see people who win on TV I can’t believe I’m here, that I won,” Ramseur said. “This came at just the right time.”

The $30 ticket launched in early April. Four $10 million prizes, six $1 million prizes, and 13 $100,000 prizes remain. Players can also enter their tickets into four second-chance drawings for a chance to win $1 million. The deadline to enter the first drawing is July 31.
