David Stanley of Sanford won the $417,747 jackpot from the Sunday, April 28th Carolina Cash 5 drawing.
Stanley picked his own numbers and bought a ticket for the drawing from the Value Mart on N.C. 87 South in Sanford.
Stanley claimed his prize on Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $295,556.
