Raymond Graves of Dunn is the lucky winner of half of a Cash 5 jackpot of $230,994.
Graves bought one of two tickets that matched all five winning numbers in the April 9 drawing at the Circle K on Longbranch Road in Dunn.
Graves claimed his half of the jackpot, $115,497 on Friday. After federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $81,714.
The other lucky ticket was sold at T-Mart Food Stores on North Raleigh Street in Angier. The other half of the jackpot has not yet been claimed.
Cash 5 is a statewide draw game that gives players the chance to win a jackpot every single night. Tickets cost $1 and players can buy tickets at most lottery retailers or through Online Play on the lottery’s website. The jackpot for Monday’s drawing is $110,000.
Ticket sales from games like Carolina Cash 5 make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $700 million per year for education. For details on how $8 million raised by the lottery made a difference in Harnett County last year, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.
