Mohammed Owda of Dunn stopped to grab a quick drink, tried his luck on a Fast Play ticket, and instantly won a $261,609 jackpot right there in the store.
Owda purchased his winning Jackpot 7s ticket from the Stop N Go on East Cumberland Street in Dunn.
His $5 ticket beat odds of 1 in 240,000 to win 50 percent of the jackpot amount.
Owda claimed his prize Tuesday. After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $185,090.
