Anthony Raines of Dunn found himself the latest winner of a $200,000 Mega Bucks top prize.
He purchased his winning $5 ticket from the Bass Country Store on N.C. 27 East in Coats.
Raines claimed his prize Wednesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and took home $141,501 after required federal and state tax withholdings.
Mega Bucks launched in January with 10 top prizes of $200,000. Three remain to be won.
Ticket sales from scratch-offs like Mega Bucks make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $725 million per year for education. A $10 million grant, using money raised by the lottery, will help Harnett County build a new Northwest Harnett Elementary School, which aims to accommodate a 950-student enrollment capacity.
