Powerball and Mega Millions players in North Carolina will have chances to win big on Monday and Tuesday with jackpots totaling $823 million.
A Powerball winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $330 million jackpot as an annuity or $155.8 million in cash.
A Mega Millions winner on Tuesday would have the choice of taking home the $493 million jackpot as an annuity or $231.1 million in cash.
“With both jackpots on a roll at the same time, players can try their luck on life-changing prizes five nights a week,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We are hoping tonight is the night that we see a big jackpot winner in North Carolina.”
Even though both jackpots remain up for grabs, lucky tickets in North Carolina won big prizes over the weekend in each drawing.
On Friday, one $2 Mega Millions ticket matched four white balls and the yellow Mega Ball to win $10,000. The ticket was bought using Online Play in Elon. The odds of that win are 1 in 931,000.
