Powerball and Mega Millions players in North Carolina will have two chances to win big on Monday and Tuesday with jackpots totaling $954 million.
A Powerball winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $391 million jackpot as an annuity or $185.6 million in cash.
A Mega Millions winner on Tuesday would have the choice of taking home the $563 million jackpot as an annuity or $265.4 million in cash.
“As both jackpots continue to grow simultaneously, players have multiple opportunities at life-changing prizes,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We would all love to see a big jackpot win in North Carolina this week.”
Even though both jackpots remain up for grabs, lots of lucky tickets in North Carolina won prizes over the weekend in each drawing. Friday’s Mega Millions drawing saw over 27,000 winning tickets and Saturday’s Powerball drawing had more than 25,500.
Players can buy Mega Millions and Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
