Powerball and Mega Millions players in North Carolina will have opportunities over the next two days to win jackpots totaling $1.52 billion.
A Powerball winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $645 million jackpot as an annuity or $307.3 million in cash.
A Mega Millions winner on Tuesday would have the choice of taking home the $875 million jackpot as an annuity or $413.5 million in cash. If won, the $875 million jackpot would represent the sixth largest in Mega Millions history and 10th largest in U.S. history.
“With two huge jackpots up for grabs, this will be a very exciting week for Powerball and Mega Millions players in North Carolina,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Have fun going for the jackpots and good luck.”
While North Carolinians keep trying for the jackpot, others big wins occurred in both games recently. One lucky ticket in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball in Saturday’s drawing to win $50,000. The win occurred:

One ticket in Friday’s Mega Millions drawing matched four of the five white balls and the yellow Mega Ball to win $10,000. The win occurred:

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
