Cathy Noe of Newport tried her luck playing Cash 5 and won a $346,088 jackpot, her second time getting lucky in the Cash 5 game.

She previously won $100,000 in the Cash 5 Bonus Cash promotion in November.

Noe bought her $1 ticket from C Co Mini Mart on U.S. 70 in Newport. Her ticket matched all five numbers in the Aug. 29 drawing to win the jackpot. The odds of matching numbers on all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

Noe claimed her prize at lottery headquarters Friday in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $247,456.

Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying their tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Friday’s jackpot is $120,000.
