Donald Pruett of Waynesville took a chance on a $20 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.

Pruett bought his lucky 100X The Cash ticket from Southeast Energy on South Main Street in Waynesville.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim his prize and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $71,756.

The 100X The Cash game debuted in January with four top prizes of $2 million and six prizes of $100,000. Three $2 million prizes and three $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
