Lottery players get VIP treatment at a NASCAR race

More than 40 lottery winners were above the roar of the engines at Charlotte Motor Speedway. They won a VIP experience for two at the Roval 400 race in a second-chance drawing.

Players watched drivers compete on the track from The Overlook, an area of the speedway with expansive views and food and drinks provided.

“Everyone should experience it one time in their life,” said Jamie Askew, one of the lottery winners. “It’s just awesome.”

Some winners got a chance to tour the infield garage. And if that was not close enough to the action, NASCAR driver Erik Jones joined winners for a few questions before the race.
